D. FACE The Art of Eddie Davis III
"The great artists of the world are rarely puritans and seldom even ordinarily respectable"
H.L. Mencken

I made this suit from plastic bags and a cat litter container. The suit was definitely a prototype. The bags were epoxied to a disposable Tyvek coverall. Tengu is a form of Japanese demon or forest goblin.

A snapshot of my workbench at the Bunker. In the foreground is a small Flyer sculpture. Behind it on the right is a relief sculpture based on a roman legionary shield. Behind the shield is a Crown. The crown is a stencil that I cut and used with adhesive backed material. It covers the motto " Ad Hoc Signo Vinces."

Eddie Davis III
I was born and raised in the city of Rochester, N.Y. I was born an Artist; Both of my parents are. I have dedicated my life to the exploration of the creative process, in all of it's forms. There is evidence that since the beginning of our history, human beings have been making art. I continue this tradition because I believe that this pursuit is one of the greatest things that a person can do with their life.
